Chapter Philanthropy

Sigma Kappa's 5th Annual Belt Buckle Ball was a success thanks to all of the generous contributions from our families, guests, and alumnae. We really can't thank our attendees enough! Because of their attendance and participation in the Silent Auction, Kappa Eta was able to raise approximately $26,000 to be sent to the Sigma Kappa Foundation.

Sigma Kappa also participates in the annual Fort Worth Walk to End Alzheimer's. Our chapter works to raise funds and awareness to support the Alzheimer's Association in their fight against the disease; in 2015, we raised over $25,000. Each year, at the Walk to End Alzheimer's, we see the impact this disease has had on our community.

We also partner with the Garden Terrace Alzheimer's Center of Fort Worth. During the holidays, Sigma Kappa enjoys singing Christmas carols with the residents.

This past Spring, Sigma Kappa hosted its first ever Sigma Kappa Carnival. This was an event where we invited all Greek organizations on TCU's campus to form a team and compete in different challenges and carnival games to support Alzheimer's Research.  The sororities compete, and the fraternities play each other.  The teams win prizes throughout the event and there are activities and carnival snacks for spectators!  We enjoyed having everyone support us and participate this year!  Sigma Kappa Carnival was a great success and we look forward to it being an annual event for our chapter.

As always, to remember our philanthropies all you have to do is spell SIGMA.
